It really depends on the line that you choose, but most of the time, there are discounts provided if you have 3 or more bridesmaids.
Discounts can apply even if you choose different styles for each of your bridesmaids to wear within a line. Please check with a
sales associate for details.
How long does the ordering process take?
The ordering process is very simple once you have chosen the line and style of dresses. Typically, once the order is placed, the dresses
take 12-16 weeks to arrive into the store. We then advise at least an additional 4 weeks to allow enough time for shipping and/or
alterations. A sales associate will discuss the exact timing with your for your particular style of dress. There is sometimes the
ability to do a RUSH delivery, which will incur an additional charge (varying on the lines and timing).
How does payment occur?
Payment can be taken in person, over the phone or by e-mail. We do not take deposits, and the dress must be paid in full on the day the order
is placed. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. Please note we cannot place the order until ALL payments are received from
your bridal party. Please ensure your maids know the importance of this policy, and promptly provide us with their payment.
What if my maids live out of town?
We deal with many bridal parties where maids live all over the country, and also some where the maids live internationally. We even deal with
weddings where the bride herself doesn’t live in the southeastern Michigan area where we have our boutique! We ship all throughout the domestic
United States to make things easy once a style is chosen.
We supply your maids with a measurement card that outlines what specific measurements
they'll need to provide for ordering. It's best to take the measurement card to a professional tailor for the greatest accuracy. We can then
compute the size needed and place the dress order. If you’d prefer, we can even contact all of your bridesmaids for you and give you one less
thing to worry about while planning your special day. Just give us a deadline of when you’d like your order placed, and the best method
of contact, and we’ll do the rest!
Please note that if we are shipping to your maids out of state, Michigan sales tax will not be applied.
Why is miss kate's maids appointment only?
We pride ourselves on personally catering to you, the bride! We carry 9 different designer dress lines, all of which have many variations,
so to give you the full scope of the possibilities, we provide one-on-one consultations. If you were to just come in and look at the dresses
on your own, you would miss out on a lot of the different potential sassy, stylish looks we can create for your maids. Our appointment only
policy allows us to concentrate on you. It gives us the opportunity to show you and your bridal party each individual line, and to tailor your
maids' dresses so they suit your dream day perfectly. Our service sets us about from other bridesmaids and wedding accessory shops. We are here to serve
you, and look forward to helping you with all of your wedding needs.
When do you take appointments?
Appointments are normally scheduled Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12pm to 8pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm. We are closed Sunday - Tuesday.
Do you ever take walk-ins?
Yes, but we prefer for you to make an appointment, or at least call ahead so that we can make sure to give you the utmost attention you’ll need
to pick your dream bridesmaid dresses. Due to the nature of the business being "by appointment," we are not always in the store, or we may be
in the middle of another appointment. This is why we prefer appointments to walk-ins. You can always look at and order our wide variety of
wedding gifts and accessories from our miss kate's maids online store 24 hours a day,
7 days a week.
Are alterations included?
Alterations are not included in the price of the dress. Due to the large number of weddings and maids we serve where wedding party members live out of
town, it becomes impossible for us to provide that service. Plus, many women have their own tailors with whom they prefer to work. Most alterations
are minimal (a nip here, a tuck there), and should not cost your maid very much money. We do have some recommendations for tailors in the Birmingham,

May I get fabric swatches?
Of course! We are happy to provide you with swatches of our beautiful designer maids' dresses to help plan your big day and to coordinate
the rest of your wedding accessories. Just ask your sales associate. If we don’t have a swatch on hand, we will order it and send it directly to you.
Do you have accessories for my maids?
Yes! We carry a wide variety of shoes and purses, wraps, and other bridesmaids accessories that will be great additions to your maids’ dresses.
Some brides order our accessories as attendants’ gifts to complete a stylish ensemble. Please ask your sales associates to show you the options
that best coordinate with your dresses. And, if you order your dresses through us, you will receive a 10% discount on any accessory order.
