In April 2004 owner, Kate Richard, opened the doors to her glamorous bridesmaid's boutique, miss kate's maids, her third boutique located in the luxurious downtown shopping district of East Maple in downtown Birmingham. She opened miss kate, a chic clothing store in June 2003, after relocating to her hometown. She provides the women of the area with a little sexy, sassy and stylish clothing and features such designers as: Trina Turk, Tibi, CK Bradley, Beth Bowley, Helen Wang, Milly, Rebecca Taylor and more. It just seemed appropriate that she continue to provide the best for these women with the offering of bridesmaid's dresses for the discerning woman. miss kate's maids will feature exquisite bridesmaid's dresses from such prominent names as: Thread Design, Simple Silhouettes, Kathlin Argiro and Charsa Design.

miss kate's maids will be the partner to the comfortable and stylish miss kate located in the front of the store. miss kate's maids will allow access to gorgeous designer dresses that are not entirely mainstream and rarely found in the area. The boutique strives to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere where the brides and her attendants can experience the utmost in professional services while not feeling overwhelmed in her search for the perfect dress. In addition, miss kate's maids is the store for the bride who believes you can find a unique bridesmaid dress that is classic yet stylish and can be worn again.

Kate Richard, having stood up in many weddings herself, is extremely excited for the opening of this wonderful store. Having worked in advertising and software in both Denver and San Francisco, Kate made her way back to her hometown of Birmingham, Michigan to give the ladies of Detroit access to a little sass and style. Kate enjoys living back in Michigan close to family and friends. She also owns the contemporary shoe store, Shoe La La, located directly across the street.
